Walt Whitman School staff are proud to have a strong SEC whose focus is on providing an added level of quality within the community services offered to the students and parents of Whitman School.
The SEC acts as a discussion platform between teacher and parent to discuss current best practices and the learning environment for our students. The main goal of the SEC is as an advisory to support the efforts of the school’s mission and vision at the school and classroom level.
The Whitman SEC is an official organization with bylaws, structured and regular elections, board meetings, a calendar of events, and a system of rules and regulations that keep the organization operating with the right focus, attitude, integrity, transparency, and heart.
To find out more information on events scheduled for the SEC or to find volunteer opportunities, please stop by the Main Office and speak with our Parent Coordinator on your next visit. Volunteer forms can (and must) be filled out and brought to the front office at Walt Whitman. Thank you to the current members of our SEC for your dedication and for volunteering to serve the students of Whitman!
We meet on the 4th Wednesday of each Month. See the calendar for more details.
