At Trowbridge, we believe that parents serve as the first and most important educators in a child’s life. Education begins at home and our staff strives to build upon the basic foundation and values instilled in young learners before they attend school. Families are essential to a child’s success both inside and outside the classroom. For this reason, Trowbridge provides endless opportunities for parents to be active in their child’s education. A variety of meetings, events and activities are held during the year to keep parents and guardians involved at Trowbridge.
Parent Teacher Association and School Governance Council
Parents are encouraged to attend our monthly School Governance Council and Parent Teacher Association (P.T.A.) meetings. Our P.T.A. is the oldest established P.T.A. in the state. During scheduled meetings, parents become involved in planning, reviewing and improving the school educational plan, school budget and schedule of schoolwide activities.
