Closer to Lake Michigan than any other MPS school, Trowbridge Street School of Great Lakes Studies weaves ecology, Great Lakes, and freshwater lessons into its entire curriculum. Students here take a hands-on approach to learning, through the science and hydroponics lab, butterfly garden, and perennial rain garden.
Trowbridge works with community organizations to teach science beyond the school walls, through partnerships with private and public entities such as the UWM School of Freshwater Sciences and the U.S. Coast Guard.
