About

Hi-Mount Community School focuses on high-quality instruction for all K4-8th grade students in a nurturing and caring environment. As a Personalized Learning Project Site, our educators focus on tailoring lessons to meet the needs of individual students. Teachers incorporate the latest computer training tools in their instruction so students can stay current with the rest of the world. The Library Media Center is automated and state-of-the-art. SMART Boards are used to create an interactive system of learning and keep students engaged and excited about learning while they develop an appreciation for technology. Assistive technology is available for students with special needs to enhance their learning.

Hi-Mount Vision

All Hi-Mount students meet or exceed the Common Core State Standards to positively impact their lives and their community.

Uniform Policy

Hi-Mount Community School has a uniform policy.  Students may wear a royal blue or gray polo shirt and dark blue or black bottoms.

School Improvement Plan

Data from the 2017-18 Spring STAR Assessment shows that 75% of our students average 5% Percentile Rank growth in Math.  The achievement gap is growing in grades 3,5,7, and 8.  Students in grades 5-8 have the largest number of students who are significantly below.

Theory of Action

If we continue to place a greater emphasis on Tier 1 instruction, using Personalized Learning strategies, the school-wide Math Walkthrough Tool as a daily instructional and planning guide, and provide professional development on vocabulary strategies across all content areas, then the Percentile Rank growth of all students will increase by 7-10%.
