The Cass Street School Safe Place provides after-school childcare and enrichment activities to K4 through eighth-grade students at Cass.
Open from 2:15 to 6:00 p.m. on school days, the program provides structure and supervision by following a 1:15 staff: child ratio. The Safe Place supports Cass student achievement and learning goals by offering enrichment activities that prepare youth for high school, college, and career success.

Costs
Milwaukee Public Schools Safe Places charge a nominal program fee, and most Safe Place programs accept Wisconsin Shares childcare subsidies. The inability to pay fees or to receive Wisconsin Shares authorization cannot be a barrier to participation for students.

Registration and Information
Parents/guardians can complete Safe Place Youth Participant Registration and Emergency & Health History forms in advance, or get copies on-site. Completed forms must be submitted to the Cass Street School Safe Place. Additional forms may be required as part of the registration process.
