About

Mission

Cass Street School strives to help all students meet our high academic standards and provides them with a diverse educational foundation. We foster a positive school climate conducive to learning by encouraging good citizenship, critical thinking, problem solving, respect and an appreciation for individual and cultural differences in our community.

Vision

We envision the Cass Street School community developing mindful leaders in the areas of Literacy, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics for success in high school, higher education, careers, and citizenship.

Values

We believe all students should be on time (punctual), on task (cognitively and actively engaged in learning activities), and on a mission (focused on social and academic goals).

Welcome to Cass Street School! Our inviting atmosphere provides students with a comfortable learning environment where they can be themselves and reach their full potential. Teachers embrace students’ unique talents that they may gain the confidence needed to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. At Cass Street School, students learn to be responsible and active citizens that give back to their community.

Located in downtown Milwaukee, our school provides students with enriching cultural experiences and fresh insight to the Arts community. We revel in the opportunities students have to visit historical places throughout the city. In addition, our close proximity to Milwaukee’s East Side allows our students and families to take full advantage of the city’s many different resources.

At Cass Street School, teachers encourage students to build academic knowledge as well as participate in extracurricular activities. Students solve problems using critical thinking skills and express themselves through creativity. Our computer/media labs provide students with the skills necessary to come out ahead in today’s technological world. By combining all aspects of the Cass Street curriculum, students develop into well-rounded learners prepared for high school when they complete their education at our school.

Cass is also proud to offer Special Education. We have cross categorical, CD and MRP education programs.
