Trinity Presbyterian Church
We are quite fortunate to have a special relationship with this church located just across the street from our school. The church community has taken a personal interest in our school. The church has provided adult mentors for Grade 6, 7, and 8 boys to help them with choices. Church members experienced in successful gardening practices has instructed our Grade 5 students in designing and maintaining a community garden. Two of our kindergarten classrooms are also located in the church as well.
Boys and Girls Club
Our after school program is led and organized by this agency. We have found that our students and parents are very pleased with this association. Recreation, special classes, homework assistance, and tutoring are the important pieces of this program.
Sherman Park Parent Resource Center
Parents can meet with other parents to learn new skills and ideas for successfully parenting their children. The center provides skilled facilitators to lead the families in parenting classes.
