Ongoing partnerships with organizations throughout Milwaukee, Honey Creek establishes itself as an anchor within the community. Students receive support from community leaders and are offered new opportunities to enhance their education. Many of the organizations that partner with Honey Creek equip students with necessary life and professional skills that will aid them in the future.
University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee
This institution provide field students and student teachers to Honey Creek. These prospective teachers build strong relationships with Honey Creek students. As young professionals, they bring unique perspectives to the classroom.
Milwaukee Public Museum
MPM is a partner in providing programming at our Gopher Gatherings.
Reflo
Reflo works with partners including MPS, Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, City of Milwaukee, Fund for Lake Michigan, and Community Design Solutions to support area schools in an intensive, collaborative process to design and redevelop greener, healthier schoolyards. Projects are tailored to the specific needs and enthusiasm of the school. Designs go beyond removing pavement to maximize benefits for communities, the environment, and local economy. Honey Creek’s redeveloped schoolyard is scheduled to be completed and opened in 2027.
JK Lee Black Belt Academy
Through a partnership with JK Lee Black Belt Academy, Honey Creek has implemented a program titled “Healthy Bodies, Hearts and Minds”. This program helps our students to realize the importance of having a healthy body, heart and mind. Through various presentations and challenges throughout the school year, our students are taught the importance of good health.
