Technology

Technology is critical to education. At Neeskara, students acquire research, navigation and Internet skills needed to compete in today’s technologically-integrated world. These skills are critical to success throughout a child’s education as they move on to high school, college, technical school and beyond.

Each classroom in the school is outfitted with computers (Chromebooks) for individual student use, group projects or as a tool for teachers. SMART Board™ interactive whiteboards and LCD projectors are used throughout the school to help students visualize and better understand complex concepts.

Neeskara is also part of an e-Learning Kids laptop project that aims to benefit grade 4 and 5 learners. This project targets laptop use and mobile technology for every child. All grade 4 and 5 students have a Chromebook at their desk for the school year. The Chromebook is used daily for teaching and learning to reinforce classroom instruction.

Neeskara’s Technology Committee embraces technology as a crucial element in a child’s education. This active committee of school professionals works to integrate technology into instruction in all academic areas. Multimedia presentations, online safety and research methods are reinforced through hands-on, interactive practice and learning. Software programs are used to further develop academic instruction. In addition, the Technology Committee is developing a strategic plan for technology for the school, including a plan for software, hardware and student technology standards to guide instruction.

For more information about Neeskara technology, please contact the school office at (414) 256-8600. We encourage families to tour the school, visit the multimedia lab and classrooms, and see technology integrated into daily instruction.
