Principal’s Message

Greetings Neeskara School Community,

Debbie BlancarteI am honored to serve as your Principal for the upcoming school year. I believe as principal my role is to serve the school community, our families, and of course our students, staff and
teachers to the best of my ability. To do so I am excited for the NEW DIRECTION that MPS is taking – a focus on 3 BIG ROCKS:

  • Focus on Increasing Academic Achievement for ALL SCHOLARS
  • Ensure for EFFICIENT SCHOOL OPERATIONS (the way we do business at Neeskara)
  • Create a SAFE & WELCOMING SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT

A brief summary of me includes over 30 years of experience in public education, primarily in Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri public schools. In addition, I served, as a
district administrator in Kansas City, in the role of Director of the Advanced Academics and Gifted Programmes for 7 years. I was also an adjunct professor in the school of education for the University of Missouri – Kansas City.

I grew up in Milwaukee, 53rd and Capital Drive area, but moved to Kansas City following graduation from UW-Oshkosh. I have three grown children, and am proud to say that my two sons also entered the education field as teachers in the Kansas City area. With my children grown and out of the house, I was able to return to my hometown, my favorite city – MILWAUKEE!

For enjoyment, you can find me on a tennis court or relaxing at the beach. I am also an avid BREWERS FAN, BUCKS FAN, BADGERS FAN, AND PACKERS FAN!

I look forward to a successful school year as we all will SOAR like EAGLES!

With love,
Principal Blancarte
