MACL fourth graders and students in the International Newcomer Center (INC) participated in the United Nations Schools of International Learning World Fair on Tuesday, April 18th.
Prior to the fair, students researched member countries of the UN and created trifold projects to display their research. At the fair, students presented their work to those from other Milwaukee Public Schools, and had the opportunity to get their passport stamped after asking questions of other students. Students communicated respectfully and learned a lot about countries across the globe!
Students viewed cultural musical and dance performances and represented MACL proudly. 🐉
We are also pleased to announce that Miss Sivek, a teacher in the INC, was presented with the Global Educator of the Year Award from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction for facilitating global learning and honoring her students’ heritage.🌍
