About

The staff at Samuel Clemens School is committed to providing an engaging curriculum aligned to the rigorous Common Core State Standards with a support system for all learners to become proficient or advanced. We believe all students can learn and that it is our responsibility to engage them in the learning process. Academic instruction at Clemens is rigorous, engaging, and integrated so that important science and social studies concepts are included in our teacher-created literacy units.

One of our primary goals is to instill a love of reading in our students by encouraging students to read nightly, on weekends and over extended breaks. We also host several Family Literacy Nights throughout the year.

We believe in strong family and school involvement. We believe that every student has the right to a safe learning environment. And we will provide every student with learning opportunities to become responsible citizens.

Vision

Samuel Clemens School aspires to be a world-class educational community that honors diversity and promotes high expectations for all students while preparing them to reach their fullest potential.

Mission

As a GE Foundation Demonstration School, Samuel Clemens, together with our families and the community, will educate each student in a safe and caring environment while preparing them to become responsible citizens.
