The Alliance School of Milwaukee is a small MPS charter high school with a big mission: creating a safe, accepting environment where every student can thrive as their full self.
Founded in 2005, Alliance is proud to be entering our 21st year — and our commitment to belonging is as strong as ever. We were the first school in the nation built around reducing bullying, and that mission is still woven into our daily culture through a restorative practices framework that builds relationships, accountability, and a positive climate where students can focus on learning.
While we’re sometimes mistaken for an alternative school, Alliance is a traditional MPS charter high school with rigorous academics at the center. We simply believe that feeling safe and accepted is what allows students to do their best work.
We offer strong academics alongside a visual arts program that gives students meaningful opportunities for creative expression. Our experienced educators are supported by a school social worker and psychologist to ensure students’ social-emotional needs are met alongside their academics.
We serve students in grades 9–12 from across the Milwaukee area. As part of MPS, we are open to all — with 200 seats and a traditional school calendar.
