In our learning environment, we utilize a constructivist “minds-on” approach to help students conceptualize math and reading skills and apply their knowledge in the real world, thus becoming prepared for higher education. Efficacy is the moving force behind our daily thoughts, actions and accomplishments. At Siefert we believe that all children can learn and achieve at high levels and that is our duty to provide the appropriate support systems and resources.
Student and teacher formative and summative data are utilized to identify teaching and learning strengths, gaps and needs and to provide tailored professional development resulting in building greater capacity of both students and staff. Teachers’ knowledge of the content, knowledge of their students, clarity of outcomes, knowledge of resources, and standards-based exploratory lessons foster higher levels of engagement and differentiation, leading to higher achievement.
