Families

At Goodrich, we believe families play a vital role in their child’s education. When staff and families work together, we create a strong foundation of support that helps every child thrive. By teaching citizenship, respect, discipline, and personal responsibility, Goodrich partners with parents to raise confident, successful children.

  • Family involvement is key to academic success and emotional growth. You can support your child and the Goodrich community by:
  • Making sure your child arrives on time each day (7:15 a.m.)
  • Calling the school office at (262) 236-1500 if your child will be absent
  • Helping your child get enough sleep each night
  • Providing a healthy lunch
  • Checking your child’s backpack daily
  • Reading with your child every day
  • Assisting with homework
  • Dressing your child for the weather
  • Volunteering in classrooms
  • Joining field trips
  • Being an active member of the PTO

Community Resources

Here is a website created by our School Social Worker and School Psychologist that has resources related to childcare, COVID-19, food, housing, internet, MPS parent guide, and IMPACT 2-1-1.

Attendance

Attendance Matters at Goodrich Elementary!

At Goodrich, we work hard to reach our goal of 95% daily attendance or better. Being at school on time every day helps your child succeed both academically and socially.

  • The school day runs from 7:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • If your child must be absent, please contact the office.
    • Call the attendance line at (262) 236-1560

Thank you for partnering with us to make attendance a priority!

Field Trip Assistance/Volunteering

To provide the safest and most positive learning experience for our students, teachers may invite parent volunteers to serve as chaperones on field trips. This support is greatly appreciated by the Goodrich staff and helps ensure that trips run smoothly. Parent chaperones receive clear guidelines and procedures to follow, which provide structure, accountability, and most importantly, help keep all students safe while away from school.
