At Fairview School, we are proud to be a PLTW (Project Lead The Way) powerhouse within Milwaukee Public Schools, delivering hands-on, future-focused STEM education to every student from K5 through 8th grade. Our PLTW Launch and Gateway programs are designed to inspire a passion for design, problem-solving, and innovation in all learners.

Six Years in a Row!

We’re thrilled to announce that Fairview has once again been named a PLTW Distinguished Gateway School for the sixth consecutive year, recognizing us as one of the top STEM programs in Wisconsin and the nation.

🥇 Only 18 schools statewide and the only middle school in the Milwaukee Public Schools district earned this prestigious honor.”

At the middle school level, Fairview students dive deep into advanced PLTW Gateway curriculum with a strong emphasis on:

  • Design & Modeling
    Students explore engineering design principles and bring ideas to life using 3D modeling tools in our brand-new FAB LAB, equipped with a full suite of 3D printers and an on-site fabrication shop.

  • Automation & Robotics
    Hands-on projects teach the mechanics, electronics, and coding behind the robots of today and tomorrow.

  • Computer Science for Innovators & Makers
    From basic programming to advanced app development, our students learn how to harness the power of technology to solve real problems.

  • More Engaging STEM Pathways
    Including energy, flight & space, and Virtual Reality—ensuring all students find their spark.
