Fairview School Newsletter
October 2025
Hello Fairview Families,
Let’s take this opportunity to celebrate our differences — whether it’s how we look, what we believe, where we come from, or what we enjoy doing. On Wednesday, October 22 is Unity Day. Let’s share our differences by wearing orange and make every hallway, classroom, and playground a place of kindness and respect. Thank you for being part of the positive change!
Costume Parade – Fairview students in K4-5th grade will walk the Fairview School block to show off their costumes on Friday, October 31 at 1:00PM. If your child would like to take part, please send your child with a student-friendly costume. Family and community members are welcome to attend by setting up chairs and blankets along the Parkway. Milwaukee Fire Department’s Station #10 will also be on site showcasing one of their Fire Engine units, Medical rigs and a Survive Alive mobile unit.
Interim 1 Reports – Interim reports were sent home with your child on Thursday, October 16th. These reports will give you a snapshot into your child’s current academic standing in their classes. If you would like more information after reviewing the report, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
Lost and Found – Our lost and found is overflowing with misplaced items. Teachers will be taking their classes to the lost and found racks to claim misplaced items. Feel free to stop in during drop off or pick up to claim the items. All unclaimed items will be donated to Goodwill after Friday, October 24th.
Morning and Afternoon Drop-Off – As you are aware, the morning and afternoon drop-off time is extremely busy. Please give yourself time to park along the Parkway away from the bus and no parking zones. We have placed orange cones in the areas that are designated for our buses and/or areas that are no stop zones. Thank you in advance for following our morning and afternoon drop-off and pick-up procedure.
Picking Students Up Early – If you have to pick up your child before the end of the day, you must call the main office prior to 2:00PM. With over 620 students, our end of the day routines and schedules are busy. Please be patient as students will be called to the main office for pick up when a parent/guardian arrives at the school.
