2025-26 Welcome from Principal Sullivan

August 6, 2025 by Eric Sullivan

As we prepare to embark on a new school year, I am filled with excitement and optimism for what lies ahead. It is my pleasure to welcome both new and returning families to Fairview School for the 2025-2026 school year.

A Fresh Start

Each new school year brings with it the promise of new beginnings, opportunities, and experiences. Our dedicated team of educators and staff have been hard at work preparing for the year ahead, and we are eager to welcome your children back into a vibrant and supportive learning environment.

What’s New?

This year, we are thrilled to introduce several new initiatives and programs designed to enhance the educational experience for all our students. Some highlights include:

  • New K4/K5 Totlot – We’ve continued to make exciting improvements to our facilities. The Fall of 2025 saw a State-of-the-Art building addition housing our specialists in Music, Project Lead the Way (PLTW), Art and Physical Education. A new Tot Lot is being built and will be ready for the start of the 2025-2026 school year. The Tot Lot will feature developmentally appropriate equipment that supports physical, social, and cognitive development for our early childhood students. Whether they’re building balance, making new friends, or just enjoying the fresh air, this space is all about joyful learning and safe exploration.
  • 2nd Year of Implementation, 7th and 8th Grade Art and Music Electives – We’re introducing electives, aimed at providing student choice and creating creative outlets.
  • 2nd Year of Implementation, 6th – 8th Grade Spanish Class – World language education is a strong component of international/global education. We are partnering with Proximity Learning and offering Spanish classes to all of our 6th – 8th grade students.

Getting Involved

We encourage all families to stay engaged and involved in our school community. There are many ways to contribute, from volunteering for classroom activities to participating in our Parent-Teacher Organization school events. Your involvement is crucial to creating a thriving educational environment for our students.

Communication

Open and effective communication is key to our success. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Our doors are always open, and we are here to support you and your child throughout the school year.

Looking Ahead

I am confident that this year will be filled with growth, achievement, and memorable moments. Let’s work together to make it a successful and enjoyable year for our students.

New Schoolyear Important Dates and Times

Fall Open House will be on Wednesday, August 27 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm. This will be a time to meet your child(ren)’s teacher(s), peek into the classrooms and drop-off school supplies.

New Start and End Time for Fairview – The school day for students will be 7:15am – 2:15pm. Our cafeteria will be open starting at 7:00am for breakfast.

Fairview School Drop Off and Pick Up Times – We will have outside supervision on the playground beginning at 7:10am.  No matter if your child(ren) will be riding the bus, walking/riding bikes (weather permitting), or parent pick-up, we encourage a consistent pick-up plan. Please communicate the pick-up plan with your child’s teacher.

2025-2026 Class Placements will be available in the Parent Portal of Infinite Campus on Friday, August 15, 2025. If you already have an account, log in here to the Parent Portal of Infinite Campus. Are you a new user to the Parent Portal? Contact Fairview School after August 1st at 414-546-7710 (Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 2:00pm) to receive an activation key prior to using the link. The Infinite Campus Portal App and site allows 24-hour access to view your child’s schedule, attendance, transportation information and district messages.

K4 and K5 Staggered Starts – In order to provide a smooth transition for your child into school this year, we will use a “staggered start” the first three attendance days for students enrolled in our K4 and K5 programming. On each of the first three days of school, a limited number of students will attend each day. On your child’s assigned day, the teacher will have the opportunity to begin building trust and develop a positive relationship which will foster a sense of safety, belonging, and engagement. Each K4 and K5 family will receive an email on Tuesday, August 12 detailing your child’s classroom placement and their first day of school.
