The National Junior Honor Society is working with the Student Council to run a plastic War in order to fund the Buddy Bench project. We hope to collect a total of 2,000 pieces of #2 plastic, which will allow us to purchase two benches built out of the collected recycled plastic. We are collecting cleaned #2 plastic bottles, including items such as empty milk/water jugs, laundry detergents, shampoo bottles, motor oil containers, and certain types of plastic bags. Make sure to check the type of plastic bottle, and clean it, before donating it. The winning classroom which has collected the most plastic, will win a pizza party. The drive will start on Earth Day and continue through open house.
