Help Your Child Improve Their Scores
Programs used in the classroom can be utilized by your child at home to help them improve academically. Have your student login through Clever to find all programs they can access including Smarty Ants, My Path, Discovery Education, Flocabulary, etc.
Discuss Your Child’s Progress with Their Teachers
Attend parent/teacher conferences, or arrange for a special conference with your child’s teacher. If time does not permit, a phone call or a brief note is appreciated.
Families play a vital role in education. Parents are encouraged to work with teachers to decide on an appropriate time to visit their child’s classroom, discuss student progress and share ways to increase learning. Reports are sent home to parents and conferences are scheduled regularly to assess each student’s progress. Staff will honor parental requests for additional conferences, meetings or reports at any time.
Assist Your Child with Homework
Your child’s teacher will communicate with you about the type of homework that is appropriate for your child. Be sure to provide a quiet time and place for homework.
Parent Volunteers
We have very active parent volunteers. We are always looking for more caring, motivated individuals to work with our students. Volunteers are a wonderful supplement to the educational experience of children in Milwaukee Public Schools.
If you are interested in volunteering, please call or email our Parent Coordinator, Ms. Diana Sotelo at 414-902-7700 or [email protected], or fill out the online application!
