Before- and After-School Program

The Albert Story School Safe Place provides before- and after-school childcare and enrichment activities to K4 through eighth-grade students at Story.

Open from 6:30 to 7:10 a.m. and 2:10 to 6:00 p.m. on school days, the program provides structure and supervision by following a 1:15 staff: child ratio. The Safe Place supports Story student achievement and learning goals by offering enrichment activities that prepare youth for high school, college, and career success:

  • Academic support
  • Hands-on learning
  • Leadership development
  • Summer camp

The Albert Story School Safe Place is led by three partners:

  • Milwaukee Recreation
  • Neu-Life Community Development
  • Albert Story School

Costs

Milwaukee Public Schools Safe Places charge a nominal program fee, and most Safe Place programs accept Wisconsin Shares childcare subsidies. The inability to pay fees or to receive Wisconsin Shares authorization cannot be a barrier to participation for students.

For additional fee information, please contact the Albert Story School Safe Place coordinator at (414) 934-4800.
