At Rogers Street Academy, we teach students in a way that respects their culture and prepares them well for life. We focus on building strong bonds between students, parents, and teachers. Technology is important in our school. We offer many different ways to learn so that students can become good citizens who help their communities. We care about the whole child, including their feelings and social skills. Teachers and parents work together to make decisions. We have a parent center, an active PTO, and a School Governance Council. All of these efforts are possible through the collaboration of students, parents, staff, and community partners. All of this happens because everyone—students, parents, teachers, and community members—works together. Also, our students wear uniforms to ensure equality throughout the school environment.
En la Academia de Rogers Street, enseñamos a los estudiantes respetando su cultura y preparándolos bien para la vida. Nos enfocamos en construir lazos sólidos entre estudiantes, padres y maestros. La tecnología es importante en nuestra escuela. Ofrecemos muchas formas diferentes de aprender para que los estudiantes puedan convertirse en buenos ciudadanos que ayuden a sus comunidades. Nos preocupamos por todo el niño, incluyendo sus sentimientos y habilidades sociales. Los maestros y los padres trabajan juntos para tomar decisiones. Tenemos un lugar especial para que los padres se involucren, y tenemos grupos de padres y de la escuela activos. Todo esto sucede porque todos, estudiantes, padres, maestros y miembros de la comunidad, trabajan juntos.
