Schedules are set based on your availability and the needs of the school. These volunteers must complete an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.volgistics.com\/ex2\/vicnet.dll\/?FROM=307232\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">online volunteer application<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>See our available\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mpsschoolwebsi.wpenginepowered.com\/parkside\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/46\/2016\/10\/Ongoing-Volunteer-Opportunities.pdf\">Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>One-time event or activity opportunities<\/strong> are for those who are not available to help on an ongoing basis but would still like to be involved. Volunteers can choose to help for partial or full events and activities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Tutoring opportunities\u00a0<\/strong>are available for older adults through the Interfaith-MPS Tutor program. This program is for adults ages 55 and older to tutor students on an ongoing basis at Milwaukee Parkside School for the Arts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Community volunteer opportunities<\/strong> are available at various organizations throughout Milwaukee. These are great for families who would like to involve their children and give back to some of the organizations that work with us!<\/p>\n<p>Current community volunteer opportunities:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/interfaithmilw.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Interfaith Older Adults<\/a>\u00a0Yard Work: Can You, Your Family, Your Friend Group, Your Youth Group, Your NHS Group or Even Your Sports Team Spare Two Hours to Help An Older Adult with Fall Yard Work \u2026 If so, give us a call! We have a growing list of older adults who need help with raking leaves, pulling out their gardens, trimming bushes, and other types of fall yard clean-up. Most of these jobs would take 1-2 hours. Best of all &#8211; you can do this any time you want.
