As a part of the arts integrated focus, Parkside also follows a thematic and project based approach to promote learning in the core curriculum areas of language arts, math, reading, science, and social studies. Students participate in instrumental music lessons and dance classes along with art, music and physical education specialist classes on a weekly\/daily basis.<\/p>\n<p>Milwaukee Parkside students work with our <a href=\"https:\/\/k12.mps.school\/parkside\/programs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">community partners<\/a> at Arts@Large, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, First Stage Children\u2019s Theater, Milwaukee Children\u2019s Choir, Danceworks Mad Hot Rhythm, Junior Achievement, Milwaukee Art Museum, and the Milwaukee Ballet to engage in wonderful\u00a0arts integrated curriculum and experiences.<\/p>\n<p>Milwaukee Parkside School for the Arts was started in the 2013-2014 school year with the merger of Dover School and Tippecanoe School for the Arts &amp; Humanities!
