{"id":112,"date":"2013-08-05T17:11:32","date_gmt":"2013-08-05T17:11:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www5.milwaukee.k12.wi.us\/school\/morsemarshall\/?page_id=112"},"modified":"2013-08-05T17:11:32","modified_gmt":"2013-08-05T17:11:32","slug":"student-transportation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/k12.mps.school\/marshall\/families\/student-transportation\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Transportation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Transportation service is provided for eligible students and prescribed by various Statutes, Board Policy and Administrative procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Providing safe and pleasant transportation to and from school is the primary concern of the school bus program. The school bus ride is an extension of the school day; therefore, students are governed by the Student Code of conduct, and general rules of respect and courtesy.<\/p>\n<p>Students are to ride their assigned bus at all times and enter and exit only at their assigned stop.\u00a0School Board policy requires that students be at their stop five minutes prior to pick-up time.<\/p>\n<p>Riding a school bus is a\u00a0<strong>PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT<\/strong>.\u00a0We ask that students and parents familiarize themselves with the following information and encourage observance of these rules and guidelines.\u00a0 Parents should spend time discussing with their children the bus rules listed below:<\/p>\n<h2>School Bus Rider Rules<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Always wait on the sidewalk until the bus comes to a complete stop before you board<\/li>\n<li>Listen to directions from the driver.
