Phone Call Policy

Incoming Calls for Students

It is the goal of the staff and parents to provide the best education possible. In an effort to be successful in this endeavor, it is essential that our students be allowed to focus during class. We therefore, think it’s vital that telephone calls to and for students be kept to a minimum during school hours. Therefore, all calls will have messages taken and the children will be called down for these messages at the end of class.

Outgoing Calls

Students who need to make a telephone call must first get a pass to the office from their teacher. A counselor or administrator must approve all calls. Calls are limited to emergencies such as illness or injury.

Visitors

Parents are encouraged to make arrangements to visit Milwaukee Marshall and volunteer to assist in projects. All visitors must sign in at the front desk and report to the main office for a visitor’s badge. School personnel have the right to know the identity of all persons in the building. Photo identification is required to visit, see, or remove a child.

Note to Parents

If your child’s after school transportation plan or destination is different from the usual, please work out these arrangements before your child leaves for school in the morning. When those plans need to be changed during the school day, please contact the school as early as possible so your child can be notified. If you call after 3:00, do not leave a voice mail message, it may not be retrieved in time to get the message to your child.
