Parents enable teachers to do their jobs well by keeping their children motivated and excited to learn. For this reason, Hi-Mount considers parent involvement extremely valuable and keeps all lines of communication open among parents, faculty and staff.<\/p>\n<p>The School\u00a0Engagement Council\u00a0is comprised of \u00a0elected parents, teachers, and student representatives who are highly involved in the implementation and evaluation of the school\u2019s\u00a0improvement plan. School Engagement Council\u00a0meetings are held monthly. \u00a0We encourage any interested parents\/guardians to attend!<\/p>\n<p>Hi-Mount provides numerous family programs such as:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Family Nights<\/li>\n<li>Read-Ins with Mom and Dad<\/li>\n<li>Math &amp; Literacy Nights<\/li>\n<li>Health Fairs<\/li>\n<li>Open House<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Because parents play such an integral role in their child\u2019s education, they are encouraged to volunteer their time and energy by assisting classroom teachers or chaperoning field trips.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Each student\u2019s first teacher is his or her parent or guardian.
