{"id":22,"date":"2012-04-25T18:37:11","date_gmt":"2012-04-25T18:37:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www5.milwaukee.k12.wi.us\/school\/goodrich\/?page_id=22"},"modified":"2026-01-27T15:05:05","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T15:05:05","slug":"programs","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/k12.mps.school\/goodrich\/programs\/","title":{"rendered":"Programs"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)<\/h2>\n<p>PBIS\u00a0is a joint effort between Milwaukee Public Schools\u00a0Office of Family Services and the Milwaukee Teachers\u2019 Education Association to effectively reduce classroom disruptions and student suspensions through a school-wide systematic tiered-intervention approach. Data shows that schools that implement PBIS with fidelity see decreases in disruptions and suspensions and increases in student achievement.<\/p>\n<h2>Attendance Rewards<\/h2>\n<p>We have quarterly award ceremonies to celebrate our students successes and achievements. \u00a0Students earn Attendance Awards for having 2 absences or less during the quarter. \u00a0We really encourage being in school every day! \u00a0Student&#8217;s who earn perfect attendance get extra\u00a0recognition!<\/p>\n<h2>Goodrich Gear Days<\/h2>\n<p>We like to encourage and celebrate school spirit! \u00a0Every other Friday throughout the year is designated as a &#8220;Goodrich Gear Day&#8221;. \u00a0On these days we encourage students and staff to wear a Goodrich t-shirt or sweatshirt, that can be purchased a few times a year through the school, or our school colors, blue and white!<\/p>\n<h2>Family Nights<\/h2>\n<p>Family involvement is very important to us at Goodrich. \u00a0Our staff, along with our PTO, host a variety of Family Nights throughout the year. \u00a0We have had movie nights, game nights, math &amp; literacy nights, and other holiday events. \u00a0Please see our school\u00a0calendar\u00a0for\u00a0additional\u00a0information and\/or dates of upcoming events.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) PBIS\u00a0is a joint effort between Milwaukee Public Schools\u00a0Office of Family Services and the Milwaukee Teachers\u2019 Education Association to effectively reduce classroom disruptions and student suspensions through a school-wide systematic tiered-intervention approach.
