If you have questions about the after-school club care please reach out to Ms. Mason (Golda\u2019s Parent Coordinator) at masonbm@milwaukeepublicschools.org\u00a0for more information.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Curriculum:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/k12.mps.school\/goldameir\/programs\/gifted-and-talented\/\">Gifted and Talented<\/a> curriculum focus aligned to\u00a0Common Core State Standards, Music (Band, Drum Line, Orchestra), Springboard Curriculum (grades 5-10).<\/p>\n<h2>Program Goals<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing an awareness of each student&#8217;s abilities and talents<\/li>\n<li>Fostering respect for the abilities and talents of others<\/li>\n<li>Providing experiences in critical\/creative thinking and problem solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Nurturing the leadership skills of each student<\/li>\n<li>Using cultural facilities to develop and expand students&#8217; artistic skills and talents<\/li>\n<li>Stimulating parent and community involvement in school activities, events, and learning situations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Wisconsin Act 20: Early Literacy Remediation<\/h2>\n<p>Teaching students to read requires skill and science. Act 20 states that all Wisconsin schools must provide science-based early literacy instruction from K4 through third grade. Evidence-based instruction, assessments, and personal reading plans for those who need additional support help all students become capable, confident readers.
