Students excel in school when families and staff members work together and communicate well. Cass St. School reinforces the values of the home and family structure in every classroom. Staff members collaborate with families to reinforce core learning concepts and support consistent expectations between teachers, students and parents.<\/p>\n<p>Parents and families are encouraged to promote learning at home. Cass Street\u00a0has a Family\u00a0Resource Center, located on the first floor in room 18B, just to the left of the\u00a0entrance stairs. We are here\u00a0to provide families with strategies to help improve study skills at home and bolster learning. We ask parents to share their knowledge and expertise by volunteering as classroom helpers and chaperones. Some suggestions include leading special projects, participating in programs and school events, sharing skills and tutoring students. From the school&#8217;s weekly communication folder, monthly\u00a0newsletter, to classroom Dojo, texts, emails and phone calls; strong communication is encouraged between school and home to encourage student success.<\/p>\n<h2>Parent Center<\/h2>\n<p>The Cass St. Parent Center features the following resources and programs for families to stay connected:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>School\u00a0Engagement Council Information<\/li>\n<li>Title I District Advisory Council Information<\/li>\n<li>Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO)<\/li>\n<li>Teacher Progress Report<\/li>\n<li>Family Surveys<\/li>\n<li>Family Fun Nights<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Families are encouraged to visit the Family Resource Center. We&#8217;re available to help with enrollment &amp; any other questions or concerns you may have! Please call the school office at (414) 212-2724 and ask for Mrs.\u00a0Rainey\u00a0for more information.<\/p>\n<h2>Parent\/Teacher Conferences<\/h2>\n<p>Cass St. School invites all parents and families to attend conferences. By attending school conferences, parents build positive communication with teachers and staff to monitor the child\u2019s progress and performance.
