Hopefully the information on our page answers most of your questions about our academic and enrichment programs.

I would like to personally welcome you to a school filled with excitement and meaningful learning opportunities. I would like to personally welcome you on-board as we move full STEAMM ahead. We are now a STEAMM School. STEAMM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math and Mindfulness. You will hear more about this exciting academic focus as we move through the school year. As you know, Cass Street School is located in the beautiful Brady Street Neighborhood just a few blocks from downtown Milwaukee. We take great pride in having a safe, clean, and beautiful campus with strong connections to our community partners such as The Brady Street Area Association, Mixed Church, Rockwell, Tri-City National Bank, McDonald’s and Pick-&-Save.

Our hope is that your child will enter our doors with the mindset of being responsible, respectful and safe as they focus on learning. We take student discipline very seriously and believe that every Cass Street School student has the right to learn in a safe environment. We use Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to provide tickets and incentives for students displaying positive, appropriate behavior. We also offer Mindfulness and Yoga classes to our students to help them focus and remain calm in stressful situations. We have physical education (gym), Art and Music classes to help our students become more physically fit while enhancing their artistic and musical talents.

Cass Street School does observe a uniform policy for our students because we want our students to focus on learning rather than fashion. We strongly suggest that you dress your child in a uniform to help place the focus on education rather than fashion. Boys may wear tan or black pants and black or purple polo shirts; girls may wear tan or black pants, tan or black skirts, or tan or black jumpers with a black or purple polo shirt.

In closing, welcome to Cass Street School, where every child is expected to excel and succeed. At Cass Street School we value every family and maintain an open door policy for parents to participate in their child’s education. School hours are 7:25 a.m. – 2:25 p.m., so don’t be late. Remember, your child’s attendance in school helps prepare them for a life of success. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to call or stop by for a visit and tour our beautiful campus.

Sincerely,

Tyrone E.
